Come and join The Australian Ballet Education team at WPACC for a week-long school holiday workshop. Explore the world of ballet and co-create your own dance work to perform at the end of the week.

The workshop includes contemporary warmups, dance exercises and choreographic games. Elements such as costume design, music and storytelling through dance will be discussed. Individual needs/skill levels are addressed as you work on choreographic movement.

You will also have the opportunity to watch The Australian Ballet Education team perform Plain Jane. Plain Jane tells the story of a young girl
resisting the expectations of society and talks to ‘resilience’ – an important concept for young people to understand. This 20-minute contemporary-ballet duet addresses themes of personal identity and peer pressure and is suited to students of all levels. Join Jane on a journey of transformation as she decides that she doesn’t need to be Cinderella to be awesome.
