Friday 15 November 8pm
Held at The Vine Hotel, Nth Wangaratta
Dr Hernandez plays and exotic tonic of rootsy electro-cumbia soulful boogaloo and funky reggae. Bringing a new twist to these traditions, the band combines electronic beats and Hammond-infused grooves with a three-part horn section, percussion and souring Spanish vocals. The musicians are Sally Ford (lead vocals, alto sax, flute), Patrick Cronin (trumpet, percussion, backing vocals), David Joseph (drumkit, percussion), Michael Havir (keyboards and sequences) and Peter Slipper (trombone and backing vocals).
The Café Culture Series is presented by Wangaratta Arts Council Inc. as part of a regional tour managed by Just Shows To Go, and supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.
Tickets for concerts are general admission. Please arrive by 7.45pm for a prompt start at 8pm. Shows are two hours including a 20 minute interval. Patrons wishing to eat at The Vine Hotel before the concert should book for dinner by phoning The Vine Hotel on 5721 2605 before 3 pm on the day of the concert.
