Ian has been a key member of local bands, Liam Blunts Funky Rhythm Train, Jazzaratta and the High Society Jazz Orchestra.
Brigid O’Rielly started playing classical flute at the age of 7 and tenor saxophone when she was 16. She became interested in soul, funk and jazz when she joined a 30 piece all girl Motown and soul band in 2016 which performed at music festivals across Italy, France and Switzerland including the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival.
Ben Thomas has held a long standing passion for all types of jazz, with Miles Davis being a favourite. He has played trumpet since high school and played in many groups across genres including jazz and ska and even a carnival band in New Zealand. He launched Sweet Buzz late last year.
Chris Dousset has backed John Farnham, Coleen Hewitt, Denise Drysdale, Rhonda Birchmore and Debbie Burns and played at the Melbourne Jazz Club for three years. He has fond memories of Saturday night gigs at the Pinsent Hotel and playing at just about every pub, club and hall in towns along the Hume Highway.
Jane Still taught herself to read music at the age of six and has been performing in community choirs and bands ever since as singer and clarinettist. In recent years Jane has appeared at the Wangaratta Jazz and Blues Festival. With a choral and orchestral background, Jane brings a classical sensibility to her jazz performance.
Michael Braendler learnt classical piano and guitar as a child.
