After sell out shows at Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre in 2013 & 14, we are excited to announce that Kate Miller-Heidke will be returning to Wangaratta in 2018 with her brand new show with a string quartet.
Kate Miller-Heidke is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has released four studio albums in Australia, including the top 5 albums O Vertigo!, Nightflight, and Curiouser, which spawned the multi-platinum hits, Last Day On Earth and Caught In The Crowd.
Kate is classically trained, yet her style crosses contemporary pop, folk and opera. Her songs are stamped with witty humour and poignant insight – always touching.
In 2016 she performed a suite of her songs with symphony orchestras around the country to huge acclaim, winning the Helpmann Award for Best Australian Contemporary Concert, and seeing her concert with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra released as a new album, Live At The Sydney Opera House. Now Kate is taking a brand new combo on the road, with a new set of arrangements set to fuse her unique vocals and piano, and the virtuoso guitar shredding of Keir Nuttall, with the classical stylings of a string quartet. They include adaptations of her well-loved orchestral pieces, her most popular hits, favourites from recent albums, some surprises from the back catalogue, and a sneak peek of some new material.
